Mr. Edwinson was born southeast of Roland July 24, 1874, where he lived for 19 years, and then moved with his parents to Johnson's Grove, Story county, where he remained until he was married March 24, 1898, to Miss Lizzie Jagau. A year later, Mr. and Mrs. Edwinson went to Marshalltown and had since made their home there. Beside the wife, others surviving are a son, Harvey, of Marshalltown, his mother, Mrs. B. J. Fitch of Nevada, the brother, 0. E. Edwinson of Ames, and eight sisters. Mr. Edwinson was a member, of the Lutheran church at Roland, Banner lodge 123 I.0.0.F. Rebekah Lodge No. 40, and Chippewa tribe No. 40 I.0.R.M. He had been prominently connected with the Red Men order for many years. He served his apprenticeship as a moulder with the old A. E. Shorthill company in Marshalltown and was later employed in the Lennox Furnace company and Central Foundry company. Funeral services were to be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 from the Pursel funeral home in Marshalltown. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Note: His mother Bertha Rasmusdtr Edwinson Hanson Fitch was buried by her first married name of Edwinson.
