Description	:	Rasmus Pedersen was born to his loving parents on Sunday December 23, 1888 in Aarhus Denmark. Rasmus immigrated to the United States when he was twenty two to live in the Scribner area. Rasmus was united in marriage to Marie Bovbjerg on Sunday April 16, 1916, they were blessed over the years of their marriage with two sons and a daughter. Rasmus farmed an Ames farm which now has a new house with a GPS of 41.543007, -96.674690, I believe Rasmus and Marie raised their family in a house just to the south of this new house.... Read More	Rasmus Pedersen was born to his loving parents on Sunday December 23, 1888 in Aarhus Denmark. Rasmus immigrated to the United States when he was twenty two to live in the Scribner area. Rasmus was united in marriage to Marie Bovbjerg on Sunday April 16, 1916, they were blessed over the years of their marriage with two sons and a daughter. Rasmus farmed an Ames farm which now has a new house with a GPS of 41.543007, -96.674690, I believe Rasmus and Marie raised their family in a house just to the south of this new house. I myself was raised about three quarter miles to the east southeast as the crow would fly. My family farm building site had a GPS estimate of 41.540971, -96.664389 and has since been removed. Pedersen's son Leonard was killed in action in France on Tuesday July 4, 1944. Rasmus and wife Marie retired to Fremont in 1945. Rasmus was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Danish Brotherhood. I recall seeing Rasmus driving his "54" Ford past our farm place almost every morning, he was on his way to assist his son Elmer with the farm chores. Sadly Rasmus passed away on the morning of Thursday November 6, 1958 after arriving to help his son Elmer that day. Rasmus was 69 years, 10 months, 14 days of age which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 25,519 days. Rasmus' funeral service was held on Saturday afternoon November 8, 1958 at the Fremont First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Hansen officiating. Rasmus was interred in the Fremont Memorial Cemetery. Rasmus' information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Rasmus by a family friend Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
