He suffered a severe attack of the influenza about two years ago and never fully recovered, settling in his head. Ray W. Glover, the second son of David and Mrs. Bertha Glover, was born at Leland, ILL., on March 18, 1889, and passed away at the state hospital at Iowa City, on February 26, 1927, aged 37 years, 11 months and 8 days. He came with his parents to this part of Iowa on March 1. 1900. They first settled south of town, then later, north of town. He was 11 years old and since that time his life has been in this vicinity. He was united in marriage with Miss Jessie Milton at the residence of her father, P. R. Milton near Langdon, Clay County, September 21, 1911. They lived near Langdon something like four years. then settled on the farm near Terril, which has since been and remains their home. Mrs. Glover and their two children survive him; Harold 16 years of age, and Wayne, a baby 8 months old. His beloved mother outlives him, his father passed away on January 6th, 1925. He leaves three brothers and one sister, Messrs, Guy, Roy and Lyle Glover and Mrs. May Wingerson, all of Terril. His sickness began as influenza, but localized into the trouble, which made a resort to surgery necessary, and brain fever, setting in quickly brought the end. At his age and under the circumstances there is universal shock and pain at his going. He was faithful, industrious, upright, a good citizen, a devoted husband and father. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Terril at 2 o'clock, March 1, and the burial in the Fairview cemetery. The business houses closed and a large concourse of friends attended the services. *Obituary is published in the Spirit Lake Beacon, March 3, 1927. -------------
