Description	:	OBITUARY: RAYMOND GOTTULA Raymond (Coach) Gottula was born Feb. 14, 1917 near Elk Creek, and passed away July 11 at his home in the same town. The son of the late William and Emma Geweke Gottula was baptized March 18, 1917 at St. Peter's Lutheran church by Rev. H. F. Grupe and confirmed May 25, 1930 by Rev. I. C. Heinicke. Gottula attended rural school near Elk Creek and St. Peter's parochial school. He was married to Viola Elenga on Aug. 26, 1943, by Rev. W. G. Read More	OBITUARY: RAYMOND GOTTULA Raymond (Coach) Gottula was born Feb. 14, 1917 near Elk Creek, and passed away July 11 at his home in the same town. The son of the late William and Emma Geweke Gottula was baptized March 18, 1917 at St. Peter's Lutheran church by Rev. H. F. Grupe and confirmed May 25, 1930 by Rev. I. C. Heinicke. Gottula attended rural school near Elk Creek and St. Peter's parochial school. He was married to Viola Elenga on Aug. 26, 1943, by Rev. W. G. Nau at St. Peter's church, and was a player, coach and fan of athletic teams in Elk Creek his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean. Survivors are his wife, Viola of Elk Creek; two sons, Randy of Auburn and Monty of Elk Creek; brother, Norvin of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held July 13 at St. Peter's Lutheran church, southwest of Elk Creek, conducted by Rev. Arthur Schauer. Palllbearers were Eugene Gottula, Donald Gottula, Harold Gottula, Leland Krueger, Lorain Krueger and Lorain Gottula. Music was provided by Mrs. Orval Peters and the congregation.
