Description	:	Ray Justesen, age 92, of Valley City, ND, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, ND. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, Jan. 13th at Faith Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Brandon Woodruff officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Monday at the Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Raymond Fredrick Justesen was born April 5, 1916 in Litchville, ND, the son of Hans and Signe (Bergstrom) Justesen. He married Cora Leidall in May 1942 and the couple lived and farmed at Litchville until her passing in 1963. Ray found love again when he married Mildred Brendmoen in September 1975. The couple made their home at Valley City. Ray served with the US ARMY during WWII and was stationed in India. He farmed most of his life in Litchville, retiring in 1976. He will be remembered as a guy who loved to spend time on the golf course or in the bowling alley. He also loved going to Las Vegas and staying at Fitzgeralds, where he played Keno. Survivors include his wife, Millie, 3 children, Gary (Nancy) Justesen, Litchville, ND, Donette Klever, LaMoure, ND, and Vicky (Bob) Hlubek, Erskine, MN; 4 step-children, Brenda (John) Stearns, David Brendmoen, and John Brendmoen all of Valley City, ND, and Lynn Grieve, Lincoln, NE; 2 sisters, Evelyn (Eric) Butcher and Minnie (Don) Smith both of Fargo, ND, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora, his parents, 3 brothers, Walt, Carroll, and Jim, 2 sisters Helen and Esther, and many of his good buddies.
