Description	:	"Raymond Goodall Murray, son of Ernest and Clara Murray, was born on February 16, 1930, at Franklin, and passed away on January 6, 1946, at the age of 15 years, 10 months and 21 days, having lived all his life in Franklin. His sudden death brought a shock and wave of sorrow over this entire community. His cheerful disposition and genuineness of character had won for him a wide circle of friends not only among the young people but among older people as well. Read More	"Raymond Goodall Murray, son of Ernest and Clara Murray, was born on February 16, 1930, at Franklin, and passed away on January 6, 1946, at the age of 15 years, 10 months and 21 days, having lived all his life in Franklin. His sudden death brought a shock and wave of sorrow over this entire community. His cheerful disposition and genuineness of character had won for him a wide circle of friends not only among the young people but among older people as well. He was a most industrious young man whom everyone had learned they could depend upon and trust. He had been a member of the Franklin Methodist Sunday school since early childhood and was one of the most faithful attendants until the time of his death. His Christian home training as well as his Sunday school training was reflected in his sterling character and led him to make his personal decision for Christ in 1943. He was enrolled in the pastor's membership training class and after completing the work became a member of the church April 18, 1943. His paper on "Why I Want to Be a Member of the Methodist Church" won first place in the membership class and was read before the congregation on that Sunday morning. He was also active in the work of the Youth Fellowship. He was a member of the local troop of Boy Scouts and a member of the sophomore class of the Franklin High School. Raymond will be greatly missed, not only by his immediate relatives but by his many friends to whom he had endeared himself in the community. He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Murray of Franklin, one sister, Erlene, at home, several uncles and aunts, cousins, and a host of friends. Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m., at the Methodist church, with Rev. M.R. Willis in charge. Music is being furnished by the All-Youth choir of which Raymond was a member.
