Ward Str., was dead on arrival at Ottumwa Hospital at 7 a.m. today, following a sudden heart attack suffered at his home at 6:45 a.m., according to the Wapello County medical examiner, Dr. Warren DeKraay. He was taken to the hospital by city ambulance. Mr. Jones had been an employee of the public works department of the city of Ottumwa for the past six years. He also leaves a son, Joe Jones of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs Rae McConnell of Clinton and Vicki Lee Jones at home; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Jones of Ottumwa; two brothers, James and Jerry Jones of Ottumwa; and a sister, Mrs. Julia Huddleston of Ottumwa.
