Description	:	Raymond Mann, resident of Villisca all the 56 years of his life died Monday at 7:30 p.m. at his home on Fourth Avenue, his death resulting from a heart attack after illness of less than an hour. Read More	Raymond Mann, resident of Villisca all the 56 years of his life died Monday at 7:30 p.m. at his home on Fourth Avenue, his death resulting from a heart attack after illness of less than an hour. He had been in good health for several months, but had been at work regularly at his place in the post office and was there as usual on the day of his death. After eating dinner in the evening he went upstairs where he suffered an attack of heart trouble, but a physician was called and he obtained relief. A second attack a few minutes later proved fatal. Raymond Ney Mann was born in Villisca on October 8, 1889, a son of Joseph and Eliza Mann. He was graduated from Villisca High School in 1907, after which he was employee in the grocery business. He took a position at the post office, November 20, 1915, in which he continued the remainder of his life. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and was a veteran of World War I spending eight months of a years’s service over seas. He was married married June 2, 1923 to Lela Mae Alcorn and to this union was born one daughter, Margaret Louise. Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves his mother and his sister Nellie of Villisca, a sister Mrs. Harold Gridley of Deadwood, South Dakota and a brother Joe of Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeal Home conducted by Rev. F. W. Thompson. The active pall bearers were Collis Moore, Ray Enarson, Fred Stinemates, Harold Todd, Sterling Mains, and Ward Wheeler, all employees of the postal department and honorary pall bearers were George J. Muller, R. J. Swanson, C. G. English, B. C. Hulling, Harold Pickford, C. I. Meyerhof, J. L. Wheeler, J. F. Joy, Harry Burrish, and F. A. Still. The singing was by Delores Schantz, accompanied by Mrs. Evn Eno and those in charge of flowers were Sadie Reynolds, Sadie Winter, Arlene Gourley, and Clemmie Oliver. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Villisca business housed were closed during the funeral. Villisca Review, Thursday, November 22, 1945, page 1
