Read More	Raymond Montgomery, 86, of Brooklyn, Iowa, died Sunday, February 2, 1992in Grinnell General Hospital, Grinnell, Iowa. Raymond Thomas Montgomery was a lifelong resident of Bear Creek Township, Poweshiek County, Iowa. He was born to William B. and Idella Read Montgomery on March 29, 1905. He attended a rural school and Brooklyn High School. On May 16, 1928, he was united in marriage to Sara Ladd in the Presbyterian Manse, Brooklyn. He farmed in Bear Creek Township all of his working life and moved to Hillside Apartments in 1990. Raymond was a member and elder of the Presbyterian Church, served as a director on the TIP REC Board for thirty two years, was on the ASCS, Community Chest, Social Services and telephone boards. He was a longtime township clerk and election official. He is mourned by his wife, Sara; his five children and their spouses, Willis and Delores Montgomery of Brooklyn, gene and Elaine Montgomery of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Ruth and John Schwiebert of Marion, Iowa, Joyce and Charles Hoskins of Crescent, Oklahoma, and Robert and Dianne Montgomery of Santa Maria, California; his brother, Howard Montgomery of Forsyth, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
