Description	:	Daughter of Rebecca Englesby Olin and Thomas Jefferson King. Young Rebecca and her family, consisting of father, mother, brothers William Jefferson and Thomas Franklin, and sister, Amy Jane had crossed the Great Plains with the Benjamin C. Thurman LDS Wagon Company in 1854. Three of her older siblings had perished prior to the desert crossing. Young Rebecca and her family, consisting of father, mother, brothers William Jefferson and Thomas Franklin, and sister, Amy Jane had crossed the Great Plains with the Benjamin C. Thurman LDS Wagon Company in 1854. Three of her older siblings had perished prior to the desert crossing. They were: Rhoda Jonathan Alma Enoch Elmer Their older brother, George Elisha King had started with his young family a few days earlier in another wagon. Their infant son William R. King had died in Iowa and had been laid to rest in the same graveyard as had been George's little bothers. Much more heartache would greet this family in the years to come, as this oldest son and almost his entire young family, who went on to Washington state, were killed by Indians in the massacre at White River, near present day Seattle. The elder Thomas Jefferson and family settled at Davis County, Utah and young Rebecca married John O'Brien 12 October 1863, Layton, Davis County, Utah, USA. She became the mother of twelve children. After the deaths of two of her young sons and the murder of her 18 year old son, by horse thieves, she moved to Canada with two of her older sons, her older daughter and their families. Her younger daughter settled in Idaho. She traveled back and forth, but never felt safe enough to move back home to Utah after about 1900.
