Description	:	Mrs. Charles K. Deaver Died Saturday Night Mrs. Rebecca Frances Deaver, wife of Mr. Charles E. Deaver, died Saturday evening (Aug. 14, 1909) at 7 o'clock at her home on Jefferson Street, aged 70 years. She had been a sufferer for months with rheumatism. Her condition had apparently improved, but Saturday the malady affected her heart and soon resulted in her death. Mrs. Deaver was before marriage Miss Powers of Monroe County, W. Va. Mrs. Deaver was before marriage Miss Powers of Monroe County, W. Va. When in the 16th year of her age she was married to Mr. Deaver, Nov. 10th, 1954. A few years later the family removed to Lexington, which has since been her home. They reared a large family of children. She was most affectionate and faithful as wife and mother and will be missed as one who looked well to the way of her household. Ten children survive her of whom all were present at her death or funeral except one son, Mr. J. Ed Deaver, who thinking his mother improving, left the Monday before for the Pacific coast. The living children are: Miss Ella T. Deaver, J. Ed. Deaver, C. r. Deaver, H. A. Deaver, Mrs. P. C. Garing, Mrs. R. T. Fitch, Mrs. O. R. Charlton of Lexington; J. L. Deaver and Mrs. G. J. Domick of Knoxville, Tenn., and W. G. Deaver of Lenoir City, Tenn. Funeral services were held at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Trinity Methodist church, the Rev. W. S. Hammond, the pastor, officiating and the interment was made in the Lexington cemetery. Rockbridge County News, August 19, 1909
