FRED REILLY: After an extended illness, there entered into quiet rest at her home in Amaranth on Thursday, December 21st, Rebecca Jean Sime, beloved wife of Fred A. Reilly, in her 43rd year. She was the eldest daughter of Mrs. Wm. Sime, of Amaranth, and the late Wm. Sime. She was born in Amaranth Township and lived at her parental home until sixteen years ago whe she was married to Mr. Fred A. Reilly and since then they have resided on their farm in Amaranth. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Black's Corners and was of a quiet sincere nature. She received much enjoyment for her home life and was a very devoted wife and mother. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and daughters, Madeline, also her mother, three sisters, Mrs. Jas. Densmore, of Toronto; Mrs. Welsey Reilly, of East Luther, and Mrs. R. McConkey, of Delhi; three brothers, Percy, of Shelburne; Arnott, of Port Huron and Harold of Amaranth. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held from her home in Amaranth on Saturday, December 23rd. The Rev. S. C. Graeb, Grand Valley, spoke words of comfort and of the joyous home of a glorious resurrection. The opening hymn "Abide With Me," was one chosen by the late Mrs. Reilly. Interment took place in Grand Valley Union Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Thos. Sime, Thos. Small, Oliver Graham, Jack Bennett, Alex. Rainey and Ivan Bruce. Among the floral tributes was one from Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Reilly, of Sault Ste. Marie and one from Mrs. R. McConkey, of Delhi.
