Description	:	WYTHERS, REBEKAH-- Rebekah Wythers, was born at Isleham, Cambridgeshire, England, March 3, 1834, and died March 23, 1912, at the home of her son, Hugh Wythers, in Chelsea township aged 78 years and 20 days. She was united in marriage to Human Wythers in London, England, on March 5, 1854. To this union ten children were born, six of whom are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. Read More	WYTHERS, REBEKAH-- Rebekah Wythers, was born at Isleham, Cambridgeshire, England, March 3, 1834, and died March 23, 1912, at the home of her son, Hugh Wythers, in Chelsea township aged 78 years and 20 days. She was united in marriage to Human Wythers in London, England, on March 5, 1854. To this union ten children were born, six of whom are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. In 1867 the family removed from England to Morrison, Ill., remaining there until 1879, when they came to Fillmore county, Nebraska. Since the death of her devoted husband she has made her home among her children, who have tenderly cared for her during her declining years. The funeral was held March 25, 1912, at 1:30 p. m. from the Congregational church conducted by the Rev. Thomas Griffiths of Edgar. All the children were present except Mrs. Anna Andrew of Halsey, Neb., who was unable to attend. Her brother, William Fletcher of Davenport, Ia., her granddaughters, Ruth Russell of Minden and Vera Russell of Brainard, Neb., and Mrs. Frank Scoffield of Lincoln, Neb., were unable to attend. The deceased has lived an earnest Christian life from early childhood, being a member of the Baptist church. The beautiful floral tributes and many friends who gathered at the church show the esteem in which she was held in this community. The Nebraska Signal March 28th, 1912 page 1.
