Description	:	Rena Sinning, 101, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Rena Harms was born July 10, 1910 on a farm three miles south of Lennox, the daughter of Jacob and Abena (Bossman) Harms. She grew up there and attended Vietor rural school. Read More	Rena Sinning, 101, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Rena Harms was born July 10, 1910 on a farm three miles south of Lennox, the daughter of Jacob and Abena (Bossman) Harms. She grew up there and attended Vietor rural school. On November 19, 1931 she was united in marriage to Wilmer L. Sinning at Turner County First Presbyterian Church, rural Davis, SD. The couple lived on a farm south of Lennox for one and one-half years before moving to the home farm four miles east of Davis. They retired from farming and moved into Lennox on January 7, 1970. Her husband died on January 20, 2000. Rena continued to live in Lennox since that time. Rena was an active and faithful member of Turner County First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of ladies aide. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene Fischer, on August 22, 1986; four sisters: Minnie Handwerk on March 2, 1991, Dena Harms on September 13, 1992, Tena Bunger on August 16, 2006 and Iva Dykstra on January 26, 2007. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Evelyn Haugen and her husband, Elmer, Jr. of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren: Kevin Fischer and his wife Tammy of Worthing and Beverly Ness and her husband, John, of rural Lennox; one great-granddaughter: Amanda Fink and her husband, Mark, of Sioux Falls; two step-great-grandchildren: Kayla and Todd Wright; two step-grandchildren: Steven Haugen, his son, Meredith and Karla (George) Honsinger; one sister: Jenola (Wesley) Olesen of Hurley; as well as other relatives and friends. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Turner Co. First Presbyterian Church, rural Davis, SD with burial in the Lennox Cemetery.
