Mrs. Trambly was born April 9, 1899, to Otto and Ella Mary (Shepard) Lynch on a farm northwest of Macon. She attended School District 9 in Macon. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1918. She graduated with a second grade teaching certificate through a normal training course. She taught rural school in School District 75 east of Macon in Logan Township. She also worked as a relief telephone operator in Macon and Franklin. On Jan. 14, 1920, she married Ephraim John Trambly at her parents' home in Franklin. They farmed near Upland and Campbell, later moving to Franklin. Her husband died in March 1965. She was a 50 year member of United Methodist Church and was a member of its Mary Circle. She was a member of American Legion Unit No. 209 Auxiliary of which she was historian, charter member of World War I Auxiliary and Methodist Ladies Quilting Group of which she was treasurer from 1974-1990. Survivors are one son, Merle of Franklin; four daughters, Ethel Sanger of Franklin, Doris Keatts of Walla Walla, Wash., Naomi Gorham of Lincoln and Madelyn Lynch of McCook; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. From obitcentral.com
