Description	:	Monsignor Arthur Ring, 91, of Johnston died Friday, May 10, 2002 at the Bishop Drumm Care Center of congestive heart failure. He was born in Avoca and was raised in Neola. A Roman Catholic priest in the Des Moines Diocese, he served as assistant pastor at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Earling from 1937-42; assistant pastor of Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines from 1942-43; professor at Dowling in Des Moines from 1943-55; and pastor at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale from 1955-1974.
