Description	:	Funeral services for Rev. George McCreary, 80 years of age and a pioneer resident of this county, were held at Curtisville Friends church Monday morning with Rev. Polly Couch Bowman officiating and burial was in the Brookside cemetery at Windfall. His death occurred Saturday morning following a general breakdown of his health which occurred about a year ago. The' deceased and a son, Edward, had been making their home together for some time on a place northwest of Elwood, the father's health having been bad for sometime. George McCreary was born in Switzerland county, the son of John and Louisa Land McCreary but came here when a boy and for many years had been a resident of the community southeast of windfall. His wife, formerly Miss Martha Ann Dunn, died September 3, 1933, and since that time he had made his hoe with his son Edward. Surviving are three other sons, Norval, residing near Windfall; Clarence, near Elwood; and Milo, of Indianapolis. Rev. George McCreary was a former minister in the Friends Church and at one time in addition to his farming interests was active in ministerial lines. He was a man who had the respect of all persons in the community in which he had spent his entire life and his funeral was largely attended.
