Martin was a native of Bucksport, SC which is outside of Conway, SC. He was a Retired minister with the Church of God of Cleveland TN having served from 1957-2002. Rev. Martin ministered in the following Church of God churches, North, SC, Rock Hill, SC, Joanna, SC, Beaufort, SC, Warrenville, SC, Pine Ridge, West Columbia SC, Liberty, SC, South Spartanburg, SC, Cannon Bridge Road, Orangeburg, SC, Six Mile, Georgetown, SC, Ruby, SC. His last church was Ruby Church of God where he retired there March 10, 2002. Rev. Martin was a graduate of Lee College, Cleveland TN with an associate degree in 1955 and was a 1958 graduate from Columbia Bible College with a Bachelors Degree. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Air Force. Rev Martin Lived on the Church of God Campgrounds in Mauldin where he was very active in the many activities that went on throughout the year. He was a member of the Mauldin Church of God. Additional survivors include one son, Olin Leonard (Dotti) Martin Jr., Aiken; one daughter, Juanita Elizabeth Martin, Eagle River, AK; one brother, Holmes Martin, Florence; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Olin Leonard "Trey" Martin, III, Andrew Martin, Dakota Beck, Nick Sugalski, Matthew Sowers, Mike Moody, Pete Chandler, and Rev. Erick Ayers. A visitation with the family will take place 12-2:00 pm Saturday July 24, 2010 at Mauldin Church of God. Cole Funeral Home 1544 University Parkway (118 By pass) Aiken, SC, 29801 is in charge of services.
