Description	:	HICKSVILLE - The Rev. Vincent M. Rupp, 66, 305 Dixon Ave., Hicksville, died at 2 a.m. May 8, 1891, at Bryan Community Hospital, where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He had been in failing health since October, due to cancer. He was born March 26, 1915, in Phoenix, Ariz., to May (Carey) Ira Rupp. A 1933 graduate of Phoenix Union High School, he was graduated in 1937 from Fort Wayne Bible College. He was born March 26, 1915, in Phoenix, Ariz., to May (Carey) Ira Rupp. A 1933 graduate of Phoenix Union High School, he was graduated in 1937 from Fort Wayne Bible College. On Sept. 10, 1937, he married Lillian Hook, a Hicksville native, in Fort Wayne. They started housekeeping in Dodge City, Kan. The couple moved to Hicksville in June 1980. The Rev. Rupp served as pastor to churches in Pennsylvania; Dodge City; Midland, Mich.; Princeton, Ill.; Stratton, Neb.; Pettisville; Swanton; Taylor, Mich.; Lake Orion, Mich.; and Dayton, where he was pastor of the Faith Missionary Church until his retirement in 1980. A member of the Missionary Church, he is survived by his wife; one daughter, Lynette Bradford of Marion, Ind.; one son, Vincent Rupp Jr. of Phoenix; one granddaughter; one brother, Ira of Cloudcraft, N.M.; and one sister, Elsie Murphy of Phoenix. One brother preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville after 7 p.m. today, after 11 a.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Services will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. James Mortemore, pastor of the Hicksville Missionary Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetary, Hicksville. Preferred memorials are to the Kabala Rupp Memorial School in Sierra Leone, West Africa, a missionary school for children. Published in The Bryan Times, May 9, 1981.
