Description	:	Vincent Rupp, Jr., 71, formerly of Toledo, passed away February 9, 2010, in Phoenix, AZ, where he lived the past 32 years. Vince graduated from Pettisville High School, Ft. Wayne Bible College (summa cum laude) BS in Speech, ASU MA 1978 secondary education; and earned his counseling certification from the University of Phoenix 1993. He began his teaching career at Huntertown High School 1963-64; Fassett Junior High School and Clay High School 1967- 1978 in Oregon, Ohio. Vince retired in 2000 following seven years as a counselor for the Phoenix school system. Over the years, Vince continued friendships with many local former students and faculty. In 2005, Mr. Rupp was copy editor for the successful Toledo pictorial, Historic Old West End Toledo Ohio. Vince was an avid lover of his dog, and an Arizona State University season ticket holder. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Vince Rupp, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Lillian Rupp, sister, Lynn Bradford (Dwight) and niece, Darlyn Cole; his beloved canine companion, Max, and numerous friends across the country. Per Vince's request his remains were interred at the family burial site in Hicksville, OH, on September 14, 2010. The family suggests memorial tributes may be made in Vince's name to the Clay High School English Dept., 5665 Seaman St., Oregon, Ohio 43616. Published in Toledo Blade on Sept. 26, 2010.
