He was born February 5, 1930 in rural Birmingham to Lester and Minnie Jones Williams and lived his life in the Birmingham community. He married Evelyn Aringdale October 13, 1956 in Spring River Church near Columbus Junction. She died June 3, 2009. Surviving are two sons, Gayle Williams (Julie) of McPherson, KS and Myron Williams of Wayland, three granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, three sisters, Donna Johnson of Jefferson City, MO, Barbara Anderson (Harry) of Birmingham and Joyce Lenz (Dean) of Mesa, AZ and a daughter-in-law, Linda Williams of Birmingham. A son Kent Williams preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with family present 5-7 P.M. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.
