He passed away suddenly on June 3. Mr. Foster attended school at Hartford Township, Honey Creek Township and Ladora Public School. He was united in marriage to Thelma Shaull on July 5, 1930. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife, Thelma, one daughter, Donna Van Lancker of Victor; one son, Gary of Grinnell; three grandchildren, Debra VanLancker and Tim and Tracee Foster; one brother David Foster of Victor; two sisters, Elva (Mrs. William) Henry of Ladora, and Zella (Mrs. George) Lehman of Victor. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence Foster, and one daughter, Marilyn Kay, who passed away in 1951. Mr. Foster lived his entire life in the Victor area. He farmed for 40 years north of Victor, moving to the present home five years ago. He enjoyed visiting with his many friends and also enjoyed very much his family and three grandchildren. He was a member of the Victor Lodge No. 192 -- Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Corinthian Masonic Lodge NO. 174 A.F. and A.M. of Brooklyn. He was also a member of the Victor United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at the McAninch Chapel in Victor with Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating. One organ solo, "Abide With Me" was played by Mrs. Ireta Daniels, organist. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Daisy Stevens, Mrs. Lois Edwards and Mrs. Perah Weisskopf. Casket bearers were William Weisskopf, Noel Nace, Ervin Edwards, Clyde Lacey, Noel Coats and Bill Stevens with burial in the IOOF cemetery, Victor.
