Description	:	Richard Charles Abbott age 72 of Anamosa died suddenly Thursday October 4, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 to7pm Tuesday October 9, 2012 at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. A private family burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn will take place at a later date. He was preceded in death by his mother Irma; 2 infant siblings; and a sister-in-law Sally Abbott. Richard was born May 27, 1941 in Mt Auburn, Iowa. He was the son of Lester and Irma Reiss Abbott. Richard attended Morley consolidated schools were his favorite teacher was Ms. Elsie McInalty. Richard’s passion was bowling with the Anamosa bowling League. He enjoyed Working with ceramics, workshop and in the yard. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to him. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the people of Anamosa for their continued show of concern for Richard over the years. Richard’s special condition was recognized by the people of this town in a very caring way.
