Description	:	Richard E. Burtchin, 59, of Gaston, S.C., formerly of Lima, died at 4:08 a.m. Wednesday in Baptist Medical Center, Columbia, S.C. He was born Feb 19, 1933, in Lima, the son of Harry A. and Clara Mae (Bowsher) Burtchin. On July 13, 1951, he married Barbara Camper, who survives in Gaston, S.C. Mr. Burtchin was a former partner in Gehring and Burtchin Contracting. He was a 1951 graduate of Shawnee High School, Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Swansea, S.C. Survivors also include one son, Michael E. Burtchin of Lima; two daughters, Mrs. Paul "Pete" (Linda) Walker of Swanton and Mrs. Patrick (Debra) Donahue of Gaston, S.C.; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elnore Jennings of Lambertville, Mich.; and four brothers, Donald Burtchin of Naples, Fla., F.W. (Bill) Burtchin, Harry Burtchin and Howard Burtchin, all of Lima. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Pastor Mark Rath officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
