Read More	Mesa, Ariz -- Former Topekan Richard Francis Clerico, 74, Mesa, Ariz., died Aug. 11, 2003, in Mesa. Richard worked as an electrician for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co. for 45 years before he retired June 1, 1991. He was born July 1, 1929, in Topeka, son of Charles John & Ursela Catherine Dagen Clerico. Mr. Clerico lived in Topeka until he moved to Mesa in 1999. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Richard was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the VFW since 1976. He also enjoyed membership with the Capital City Gun Club for many years, and was a lifetime member of National Rifle Association. Mr. Clerico was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Clerico. Surviving are his daughter, Pamela Tackett, son-in-law Larry Tackett, and 5 grandchildren, all of Mesa. Four brothers also survive, including LeRoy Clerico of Wichita, Vincent, Leon and Kenneth Clerico of Topeka. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
