Description	:	Funeral services for Richard R. Rentzell, 82,of Alma, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, at the United Methodist Church in Alma. Reverend Jim Bendorf officiated. Following the traditional funeral, cremation took place. Inurnment took place on Wednesday, Sept. ?? at the Ama Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Fay Cady American Legion Post 118 of Alma in conjunction with the United States Military Honors Team. Honorary bearers were Kevin Thierolf, Zachary True, Roger Klooz, Les Thierolf, Mike Rentzell, (Dick)was born on July 24, 1932 at Niobrara, Nebr., the youngest of five children born to Oscar and Crystal (Stinson) Rentzell, and died Friday, Sept. 29, 2014 at the CHI Health Samaritian in Kearney. He attended and graduated from Niobrara High School with the class of 1951. After high school, Rentzell completed Barber school in Omaha. On Oct. 21, 1961, he wa united in marriage to Janet Ann Lowe and to this union, three children were born: Sharon Jo on June 4, 1962, Steven Ray on Oct. 2, 1966, and Susan Marie on Oct. 11, 1969. The couple started their life together in Omaha. They later made their home in Wausa, Neb. finally settling in Alma. Rentzell owned Dick's Barber Shop for 37 1/2 years in Alma. He worked as a barber for total of 45 years before retirement in 2011. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine and Marcelian; two brothers: Raymond and Dwain. He is survived by his wife, Janet of Alma; children, Steve Rentzell of Mesa, Ariz., Sharon Rentzell, Hasting, Neb., and Susan Rentzell of Alma; numerous nices, nephews, and other friends.
