James Lane officiating. Burial was at Spring Canyon Cemetery. He was born Sept. 22, 1893 at Livingston, Montana, and was married to Clara Clepper at Omak, Jan. 31, 1918. In 1936, they moved from Riverside to Nepspelem, where Mr. Whyatt was a partner in the Whyatt-Duncan sawmill. He had been in ill health for the past eight years, and died at his home Feb. 24, 1960. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Aerie #2577 and the Methodist Church in Nespelem. Surviving are his wife Clara at the home; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Rice and Mrs. Myrtle Jensen of Grand Coulee, Mrs. Irene Goodwin, Spokane; two sons, Dale of Denver, Colorado and Floyd of Spokane; two brothers, Joseph of Lynnwood, Calif. and Arthur of Long Beach, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Celia Saddler of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren.
