Description	:	Robert A. Streeter, 90, of Albion died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Golden Living Center in Fullerton. Bob was born July 3, 1920, in Albion to Alex R. and Clara M. (Riley) Streeter. Bob married Florence Klassen on April 20, 1949, at St. Michael's Church in Albion. Survivors are: wife, Florence of Albion; children, Marie (Les) Rouse of Grand Island, Kathryn Schroeder of Lincoln, Tom (Sue) Streeter of Columbus and Dennis (Cheri) Streeter of Wasilla, Alaska; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives. Bob was born July 3, 1920, in Albion to Alex R. and Clara M. (Riley) Streeter. Bob married Florence Klassen on April 20, 1949, at St. Michael's Church in Albion. Survivors are: wife, Florence of Albion; children, Marie (Les) Rouse of Grand Island, Kathryn Schroeder of Lincoln, Tom (Sue) Streeter of Columbus and Dennis (Cheri) Streeter of Wasilla, Alaska; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives. Bob attended school at District No. 72 in Loretto through the 10th grade and graduated from Albion High School in 1939. In September 1942, he entered the U.S. Army and he was honorably discharged in January 1946. During his time of service, he was assigned to combat duty in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and England. He was awarded campaign medals for the Battle of the Bulge Ardennes, Rhineland Central Europe. He also received the Rifle Marksman medal. The couple lived and farmed west of Loretto until 1977, when they moved to a farm near Petersburg. Following their move to Albion in 1981, Bob worked for the State of Nebraska, Kayton's Implement, Albion Farmer's Co-op and later worked for Kenny Iwan until 2006. In February 2010 Bob moved to the Golden Living Center in Fullerton. Bob was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 162 and VFW Post No. 736 of Albion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was commander of the VFW Post 736 for two years and also served as Quartermaster. He helped put up the Avenue of Flags for Memorial Day and served on the Honor Guard for many years. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bob was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Bill in 1981: brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Carol Streeter; sister and brother-in-law Eudine and Keith Sexton; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Klassen.
