He enlisted in the Air Force on January 8, 1940 and served in Egypt and the Middle East after the war. He then worked Civil Service with the Air Force until his retirement in 1970. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-3pm at Hillier Funeral Home with Service following at 3:00pm at the funeral home with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday in Vernon Parish, Louisiana at the Beech Grove Cemetery. "Robert has gone with the angels. May God Bless this sweet, charitable and honest man.
