Description	:	Robert E. Klemm was born February 6, 1918 to John and Ida (Zoellner) Klemm near Brandt, SD. During his younger years, Robert enjoyed racing his 1939 Ford Coupe and flying his airplane. On June 12, 1953 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Assmussen. Marjorie passed away in 1972. Robert worked on road construction for nine years and then settled in Clear Lake, SD where he operated his welding shop for 30 years. Robert married Cordula Voss on October 27, 1973. Klemm was born February 6, 1918 to John and Ida (Zoellner) Klemm near Brandt, SD. During his younger years, Robert enjoyed racing his 1939 Ford Coupe and flying his airplane. On June 12, 1953 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Assmussen. Marjorie passed away in 1972. Robert worked on road construction for nine years and then settled in Clear Lake, SD where he operated his welding shop for 30 years. Robert married Cordula Voss on October 27, 1973. He enjoyed the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that Cordula brought into his family. One of his little tricks was taking the grandchildren out for an ice cream cone just before supper. He retired in 1988 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In 2012, Robert entered the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center where he passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 98 years, 3 months and 9 days. He is survived by his wife Cordula Klemm of 42 years; three step-children: Elise (Tim) Schilling, Lou (Lee) Heier and Marty (Sharon) Voss, all of Clear Lake, SD; grandchildren: Patricia Matajek, Omaha, NE, Tammy (Mike) Tisdall, Gretna, NE, Lisa Heier, Gettysburg, SD, Nancy (Jamie) Langerock, Aberdeen, SD, Laura (Adam) Smith, Cairl (Jen) Matejek, Aberdeen, SD, Brian (Jennifer) Matejek, Watertown, SD and Garrett (Emily) Voss, Clear Lake, SD; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters: Delores Schmahl, Clear Lake, SD, Bernice Seward, Clear Lake, SD and Phyllis Thompson, Madison, SD and one nephew and two nieces. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marjorie; two brothers: Harry and Curtis; one sister, Verna Kanz and two nephews, Greg Klem and Junior Kanz - Houseman Funeral Home
