Description	:	MINDENMINES, Mo — Bob McKay, 85, of rural Mindenmines, Missouri, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at his home. Mr. McKay was born February 17, 1928 west of Liberal, Missouri, the son of Frank and Lona Phillips McKay. Bob was a farmer and cattleman who lived all his life west of Liberal on the farm he was born. He was raised west of Liberal, Missouri and graduated from Liberal High School in 1946. Read More	MINDENMINES, Mo — Bob McKay, 85, of rural Mindenmines, Missouri, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at his home. Mr. McKay was born February 17, 1928 west of Liberal, Missouri, the son of Frank and Lona Phillips McKay. Bob was a farmer and cattleman who lived all his life west of Liberal on the farm he was born. He was raised west of Liberal, Missouri and graduated from Liberal High School in 1946. He married Lois E. Cole on June 27, 1948 at Kansas City, Missouri. Lois preceded him in death November 17, 1997. He later married Patty Sechrist Fast on February 14, 1999 in Arkansas. Patty survives at the home. Additional survivors include two daughters, Janet (Russell) Vale of Warrenton, Missouri and Jeanne (Lynn) Hoover of rural Mindenmines, Missouri, two sons, Robert B. (Linda) McKay and Jay (Tricia) McKay both of rural Mindenmines, Missouri, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lois, and two sisters, Jessie Repovich and Mary Panizzi. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Arma, Kansas. Burial will be at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Chapel. The family suggests memorials to the D.O.G.S. Foundation Liberal High School Scholarship Fund. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box. 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
