Description	:	Services Saturday For Robert Holmes Funeral services for Robert Loren Holmes, age 83, who died Monday in El Cajon, Calif., will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Steele-Pospisil Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Earl Reed of the United Methodist Church will officiate, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitations will be Saturday until service time at the funeral home in Loup City. Mrs. Robert Harrington will sing and be accompanied by Mrs. Clark Plants. The nephews will act as casket bearers. Masonic services were conducted Thursday in El Cajon, California. Robert was born at Ravenna, Nebr. May 12, 1886, the son of George and Ann (Worden) Holmes). He received his schooling in Buffalo County and in 1910, was united in marriage to Cecilia Rose Goodwin. To this union were born four children. Mr. and Mrs. Holmes spent that the first four years of their married life on a farm near Ravenna; then moved to Crookston, Nebr. where they lived the next twelve years. In 1928 they returned to Ravenna to a farm where they resided until 1944 at which time they moved to El Cajon, Calif. Survivors include one son, Robert of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Bonnie) Timson of Henderson, Iowa, and Mrs. Dean (Doris) Woolsey of Hastings, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Fredia Cool of Sterling, Colo. and Mrs. Madge Crabbe of Greeley, Colo. Mrs. Lilia Peterson of Loup City and Mrs. James Mowbray of Medford, Oregon are sister-in-laws of the deceased.
