Description	:	ROBERT RALPH HARRIS Robert Ralph Harris, 79, resident of Villisca many years, died Monday, July 17, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rose Stalder in Nodaway. His death was due to a heart ailment following illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pitman Funeral Home in Villisca, conducted by Rev. M. A. Robeson. The singing was by Harold Todd and Mrs. Harold Nordyke, accompanied at the piano by Martin Hentsch, and assisting with the flowers were Mrs. Royal Wilkinson and Mrs. Arthur Pullen. Mr. Harris, son of Josiah and Angeline Harris, was born near Arcola, Illinois, December 27, 1870, and moved with his parents to Iowa, settling near Clearfield. There he married Elzora Viola Wirth on October 10, 1894, and to them were born three children, Rose A. Stalder of Nodaway, Marion C. Harris, deceased, and Olive M. Walter, Brooks. His wife preceded him in death December 27, 1944. Mr. Harris embarked in the monument business in Villisca in 1908 in which he continued until it became necessary for him to give his entire time to the care of his invalid wife. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was active in other organizations before his retirement. Surviving are his two daughters, daughter-in-law, a great granddaughter, two step grandsons, three step granddaughters, and several step grandchildren, and one sister.
