Description	:	Robert R. "Bob" Fox, 86, of Beatrice died at the Beatrice Manor on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011. He was born Oct. 24, 1924, at Beatrice and was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell and later confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1943. He was born Oct. 24, 1924, at Beatrice and was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell and later confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 until 1946. He owned and operated Fox Tire from 1946 to 1960, Fox Drive-in Package Store from 1958 to 1968, worked at Cook Electric from 1969 to 1983, and then owned Fox Electric from 1983 to his retirement in December 1992. He was married to Georgia Hill Ketelsen on Nov. 8, 1987, at the First Presbyterian Church of Beatrice. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice and had been a member of the church choir. He was also a member of the Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion, Geddes-Thober Post 1077 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Aerie 531 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a past member of 619 B.P.O. Elks, all of Beatrice. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, crossword puzzles and traveling. He also enjoyed football. Survivors include one stepson, Steven Ketelsen and wife Sharon of Verdon; two stepdaughters, Lorna Coudeyras of DeWitt and Lynn Chung and husband Eric of King of Prussia, Pa.; six stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Fox and wife Sondra of Kenesaw, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Faye Fox of Beatrice and Mary Joe Fox of Gillford, New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Paulina Huttenmaier Fox; his wife, Georgia Ketelsen Fox, who died on Sept. 8, 2010; two brothers, Ernest and Henry Fox. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 31, at St. John Lutheran Church, Sixth and Washington, Beatrice, with Pastor David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the St. Paul Lutheran School and St. John Lutheran Church with Sterling and Naomi Kohrs in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday in the fellowship room of the church. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion of Beatrice. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 9 a.m. Saturday until 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church on Monday one hour preceding the services.
