Description	:	Robert "Bob" T. Robertson, 73, of rural St. Lawrence, S.D., died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Community Church in St. Lawrence with the Rev. Ron Burkhalter and Rev. Wesley Wilson officiating. Robertson was born July 10, 1928 in Akron, Iowa to Neil and Marie (Taylor) Robertson and grew up on a farm in Holden Township, Hand County, South Dakota. He attended grade school at Odessa School and graduated from Miller High School in 1945. On May 30, 1948, he married Lois Caffee of Miller, and together, they continued farming and raising cattle. He was a member of the Sunbeam Congregational Church, serving as Deacon and Sunday School and church treasurer for many years. After the church closed, Bob and Lois became members of the St. Lawrence Community Church where Bob served as treasurer and Sunday School teacher. He was on the Holden Township board and served as supervisor for many years. He was involved in the Propane Co-op in St. Lawrence and Miller and served as chairman for several years. He also served on the F.H.A. board and was chairman of the Hand County Planning Commission. At the time of his death, he was serving on the G.A.R. Cemetery board, plus he oversaw all the burials at the Sunbeam Cemetery. Having shared his life for almost 54 years, he is survived by his wife Lois of St. Lawrence; three daughters, Janet (Michael) Morrow of Lincoln, Neb., Barbara Boon of Lincoln, Neb., and Robbi (Rod) Siegling of Redfield; seven grandchildren, John, Andrew and Jacque Morrow, Priscilla and Frances Boon, and Pete and Patrick Siegling. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a son-in-law, Frank Boon.
