He was associated with the Tax Institute of America, National Office Managers Association, Systems & Procedures Association and Municipal Finance Officers Association of U.S. and Canada. He received an award from the United Daughters of Confederacy for his service in WWII. A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Dennis Schmidt will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, from 11 a.m. to noon Friday.
