"Bob" Wilson, 69, Oroville, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1981, at the North Valley Hospital in Tonasket following a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1912, near Brewster. In 1923 the family moved to the Oroville area where they farmed. Later he converted the farm into an apple orchard. On Feb. 28, 1946, he married Jean Hockin in Omak. In 1947 he began working for the State Horticulture Department as a fruit inspector, a position he held until retirement in 1978. In 1962 he and his family moved into Oroville, where he was a member of the Oroville Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife, at the home; three sons, Bill of Fort Worth, Texas; John and Lee, both of Wenatchee; one daughter, Edith Wilson, of the home; four brothers, Ray and Wallace, both of Tonasket, John of Spokane and George of Brewster; four sisters, Bernice Humphrey of Republic, Fern Jenkens of Spokane, Ruth Peffley of Gold Hill, Ore., and June Jensen of Wenatchee; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter and two sisters. Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 5th, l11:00 am from the Bergh Chapel, Oroville, with Rev. Leigh Nygard officiating. Interment was in the Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Bergh Funeral Home, Oroville.
