Description	:	Roberta Ethel "Bertie" MacLean, 80, of Pateros died Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998 at her home in Pateros. On Nov. 24, 1937 she married Harold Spencer Robinson at Pateros. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1960 at Rocky Reach Dam. She was born Dec. 30, 1917 the daughter of George and Bertha (Geldreich) Gebbers at Pateros. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1960 at Rocky Reach Dam. She was born Dec. 30, 1917 the daughter of George and Bertha (Geldreich) Gebbers at Pateros. Bertie lived all her life in Pateros and raised her family there. Bertie married William R. MacLean June 17, 1962 in Pateros. On March 24, 1978 Bill and Bertie were married and sealed for eternity in the Alberta Canadian LDS Temple. They have made their home in Pateros. Bertie has been active as a worker in the Seattle LDS Temple, also Worthy Matron and Grand Page in the Eastern Star, Noble Grand in the Rebekah Lodge, and Campfire Leader for many years. Bertie compiled a book on her Ancestors and in 1979 she had the opportunity to display her genealogy records in the 1st World's Conference on Records at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also displayed them at the Okanogan County Fair. She is survived by her husband, William R. MacLean at the home; a son, Jack Robinson of Everett, two daughters, Jean Foster and Kay McVay, both of Pateros; two sisters, Ruth Grissom of Corning, Calif., and Evelyn Washburn of Bridgeport; stepson. Dale MacLean of Aberdeen, stepdaughter, Kathy Lauckhart of Montessano, 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harold Spencer Robinson; granddaughter, Amy Rachell Burdick; two sisters, Hester Chole Gebbers and Florence Marie Dixon; and a brother, George LeRoy Gebbers. Memorials may be made in Bertie's name to the American Diabetes Fund or the Parkinson Research Fund. Services under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
