He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Cletus Cox and Ona Wilma Davis Cox, sisters Joyce E. Cox, Paige Cox, Velma Cox Smith, Linda Cox and brother, Merritt G. Cox. Survivors: wife, Edna Moffitt Cox, of the home, daughter, Felecia Cox Hayes, of Cary, son, William Bradley Cox, of Gastonia, step-daughter, Dana Bowman, of Asheboro, step-son, Eric Bowman, and wife, Sarah, of Greensboro, grandchildren, Dillon Hayes, of Greenville, Lucas Hayes, of Raleigh, his faithful dog Bougey and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence. Condolences may be made online at www.loflinfuneralservice.com.
