Description	:	Obituary, Nov 15, 1941 ROLLIN BROWN HIT BY CAR, FATALLY HURT - Rollin Brown,age 56, was fatally injured last Sat. night when he was struck by a car on the road north of his farm home, one mile north of Sigourney. He was rushed to the Sigourney Hospital but died without regaining consciousness about an hour later. He suffered a fractured skull and left leg. Mr and Mrs G.A.Hobson, on their way to Sigourney, attempted to help him and stopped at the Brown homoe to ask for help in getting the man out of the car. Mr and Mrs Brown accompanied them back to the Cook car, Mtr Brown taking his lantern with him. In the meantime, other cars had stopped and Cook was released from the car uninjured. Rollin Brown had many friends throughout the county. He was the third generation of the Brown family to till this land. After completing his education in the Sigourney School, he returned to the farm to continue agriculture as his life's work. ..Mr. Brown became a member of the local Methodist CHurch when he was 12 years old. In 1932 he transferred his membership to the Christian Church, so that his family might be united with one church. Since then, he has served his church faithfully in the capacity of a deacon. He served on the Sigourney adult evening school counsil from its beginning for three years and served as director of the Keokuk Farm Bureau, having been reelected recently in 1942."
