Ronald Bryer, Howard County Sheriff said the youth was working on his car on a ramp and the engine apparently was running when the brake disengaged and the car rolled backward over the victim. Ronald was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mahrt. Ronald Eugene Mahrt, son of Alvin and Norma Madsen Mahrt, was born October 22, 1957 at Kearney, Nebraska. He received his elementary and junior high school education in Kearney. Ronald moved with his family to Wolbach in 1973 and completed his junior year at Elba High School this spring. Ronald was a member of Christ Lutheran Church at St. Paul. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 5, 1975 at the age of 17 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Debra) Sydoryk of Omaha, Mrs. Daniel (Sandra) Broz of Lincoln; and Patricia and Susan Mahrt both of Wolbach; one brother, Charles of Ames, Iowa and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Madsen of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mahrt of St. Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Scranton of Wheatland, wyoming.
