Description	:	Ronald Floyd Walter, the son of Floyd Henry and Harriet Kathryn Spring Walter, was born on a farm south of Brooks, Iowa, April 4, 1933 and entered into rest at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, January 1, 1982 at the age of 48 years, 8 months, and 27 days. He attended country school in Nodaway township through the 8th grade and graduated from the Corning High School. Following his graduation he joined the U. S. Read More	Ronald Floyd Walter, the son of Floyd Henry and Harriet Kathryn Spring Walter, was born on a farm south of Brooks, Iowa, April 4, 1933 and entered into rest at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, January 1, 1982 at the age of 48 years, 8 months, and 27 days. Air Force and was stationed in California. After several years he returned to his hometown area and has stayed close around here since. Ron was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. He like the out-of-doors and enjoyed boating, fishing, and golf. He had a private pilots license and had flown his own plane for several years. He had many talents and whatever he did, it was with precision and pride of workmanship, farming, metal machine, and tool and die operator, electronics and computer programmer. He was preceded in death by his mother in December of 1966 and by his father in June of 1973. Survivors include is sister, Beverly Cloyd and husband Charles of Springfield, Nebraska; two nephews, Chuch H. and Kenneth E. Cloyd and a niece Deborah S. Cloyd; his grandmother, Alice Spring of Corning, stepmother Gladys Walter of Corning, two aunts and uncles, Joe and Erma Walter and Edna and Harry Thompson of Corning and an aunt, Mildred Walter, many cousins, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Larkin Funeral Home in Corning, January 3 at 2 o'clock with Rev. Kea Kummet officiating. Interment was in Methodist Grove Cemetery, Brooks, Iowa. Music was furnished by Dorothy cook, organist, and Kathy Schafer, soloist. Pall bearers were Chuck Roland, bob Dann, Rolly Spring, Chuck Cloyd, Ken Cloyd, and Brent Thompson.
