Description	:	Floyd H. Walter, son of Henry Nicholas Walter and Mary Ida Moser was born October 29, 1909 at the family farm near Brooks, Iowa and passed away suddenly at his home in Corning, Iowa June 22, 1973. He attended the rural school near his home and was graduated from Corning, High School. On June 6, 1931, he was married to Harriet Spring, and they became the parents of two children, Ronald and Beverly. The new home was made on a farm in the Mt. Walter, son of Henry Nicholas Walter and Mary Ida Moser was born October 29, 1909 at the family farm near Brooks, Iowa and passed away suddenly at his home in Corning, Iowa June 22, 1973. He attended the rural school near his home and was graduated from Corning, High School. On June 6, 1931, he was married to Harriet Spring, and they became the parents of two children, Ronald and Beverly. The new home was made on a farm in the Mt. Zion community where he farmed and was the representative for Archer Oil Company for over 30 years. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church serving it as trustee and elder until it ceased to exist and then moved his membership to the First Presbyterian Church in Corning, where he was presently an elder. He was a member of the A.S.C. served for many years as secretary of the Methodist Grove Cemetery, besides serving his community in different ways. After the death of his wife, Harriet on December 22, 1966, he moved to Corning. He was married to Gladys L. Walker October 18, 1973. Besides his first wife, Harriet, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Royce. Survivors include his wife, Gladys, one son, Ronald of Clarinda, Iowa, one daughter, Beverly Cloyd and husband of Springfield, Nebraska, three grandchildren, Chuck, Deb, and Kenny of Springfield, Nebraska; one brother, Joe of Forsythe, Missouri; his step children, Harold Walter and family of Prescott, Mrs. Darlene Bretes and husband of Nodaway, Glen Walter and family of Corning, Mrs. Mary Rowe and family of Des Moines, Mrs. Carolyn Barton and family and Connie and family of Corning, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Corning, June 24 at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. W. M. Simdug, Interment in Methodist Grove Cemetery.
