Read More	HEATH, RONALD GENE—Ronald Gene Heath was born to Ira Arthur and Irene Ruth Mussman Heath on March 13, 1940, at Geneva. He passed away September 7, 1992 at Horseheads, N.Y., at the age of 52 years 5 months and 25 days. When Ron was only nine years of age, he helped his father at his business by sorting eggs and washing cream cans. As he matured he also learned to test cream. He attended Geneva Public Schools, and graduated from high school with the class of 1958. After graduation he worked for Safeway, Gambles, Koehler Lumber yard and the Geneva Transfer. In 1970 he began with Mobil Oil as a truck driver. Then in 1982, he was transferred with Mobil to Hershey, Pa., where they lived for seven years. In 1989 his job resulted in a move to Horseheads, N.Y. He was no longer a truck driver for Mobil back east, but enjoyed his work. He was always friendly to all he met and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Koehn of Grafton on November 25, 1961, at the United Methodist Church in Geneva. To this union three sons were born: Clayton James, Brian Lee and Bradley Allen. Ron spent many enjoyable hours following his sons sporting activities, both Clayton and Brian in Geneva and Brad in Hershey, Pa. In his leisure hours he enjoyed working with wood. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge 79 AF & AM and kept his membership in the Geneva Lodge after his move to the East coast. He was most proud of his affiliation with the lodge and with his involvement with the Geneva Volunteer Fire Department. Ron was also a member of the United Methodist Church for 42 years and was affiliated with I.O.O.F. lodge of Geneva. After their move to Horseheads, N.Y., both he and Bonnie became associated with the Moose Lodge 1476, of which Ron had recently became an officer. He spent many weekends enjoying auto racing. In December of 1991, he was very excited at the birth of his first granddaughter, Charli Rae. More recently he was excited at the engagement of his son, Brian, to April Crawford, and he anxiously anticipated her and her son, Seth, joining the family. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ira Arthur Heath and step-father, Merl E. Archer. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons, Clayton and wife, Wendy and their daughter Charli Rae, Brian Heath and his fiancée, April, and her son, Seth; and Bradley Heath. Also surviving are his mother, Irene Archer and sister, Roine Anderson and husband, Rodger; nephews, Rodney, Ronald and Larry Anderson. Other relatives surviving are his mother-in-law, Helen Koehn; three sisters-in-law and spouses; one brother-in-law and spouse and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Geneva on Tuesday, September 15, with Rev. Stanley Rider officiating. Mrs. Jan Treadway accompanied Kelly Eich who sang “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”, “Beyond the Sunset”, and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Those serving as pallbearers were Bill Dinslage, Vern Johnson, Gerald Obrist Jr., Thomas Ortgies, Billy J. Pekar, Robert D. Robinson and Rick Saum. Interment was in the Geneva Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal September 24th, 1992 page 9.
