Arthur or “Bud” as he was known to everyone was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heath. He was born at Geneva, Neb., June 21, 1906, and departed this life January 2, 1957, at the age of 50 years, 6 months and 12 days. He graduated from the Geneva high school with the class of 1925. Arthur or “Bud” as he was known to everyone was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heath. He was born at Geneva, Neb., June 21, 1906, and departed this life January 2, 1957, at the age of 50 years, 6 months and 12 days. He graduated from the Geneva high school with the class of 1925. He and Irene Ruth Mussman of Ohiowa were united in marriage in St. John’s Lutheran church at Ohiowa, August 6, 1939. Their home was blessed with two children, a son, Ronald Gene, and a daughter Roine Rae. He united with the Methodist church of Geneva, January 17, 1915, under the ministry of Rev. W. L. Austin. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and this loss will be deeply felt by all of the members of the family. He had a cheerful disposition and was always kindly in thought and attitude, not only to the immediate family, but to all who came to know him as a personal friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene, two children, Ronald and Roine; his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heath; two brothers, Harold and Alvan, all of Geneva, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Langseth of Lincoln. A brother Hugh, and a sister, Helen, preceded him in death. There are several nieces and nephews and other relatives who survive. These relatives, together with many friends, mourn the loss of one beloved, a good friend, and a respected business man of the community. Services were held at the First Methodist church of Geneva, January 5, at 2 o’clock. Dr. F. E. Pfoutz, minister, gave the tribute, using the words: “Even though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death, I will not fear no evil’ for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4). Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang “Some Day He’ll Make It Plain to Me,” “Whiter than Snow” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Miss Harriett Scott provided appropriate organ music. At the graveside Robert Hamilton sang “God Be With You Til We Meet Again’ unaccompanied. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The pallbearers were Leslie Arent, Bernard Heironymus, Darrel Hughes, William McDonald, James Willy and Clifford Wilson. The Nebraska Signal 10 January 1957 page 9.
