Description	:	Obituary obtained from Coffey County Historical Society, October, 2001: Rosa M. Allen Memorial services were held October 21, 1976, for Rosa Mae Allen, 85, who died at the Coffey County Hospital on Oct. 18 following a long illness. The rev. Frank L. Dorsey was in charge of the services which were held at Jones funeral Home in Burlington. Mrs. Ivan Rhoads and Mrs. Clyde Bowen, accompanied by Mrs. Don Jones provided the music. Henry and Rose Schlichter Cokeley on a farm northwest of LeRoy. She married Roy G. Allen on March 5, 1911 in her parents' home. Their entire lives were spent in Coffey County. They had three children, Irene Allen of the home, Gerald Allen of Waverly and Harold Allen of Burlington. The family lived for many years on a farm in the Paynedale district northeast of Burlington, moving to town nine years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 19, 1972. Besides her children, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. C.S. Levering, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
