Description	:	Frankfort, Kansas, Index Monday, May 6, 1929 Rose Bailey daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Allen Lewis Bailey was born at Akron, Indiana on October 26, 1869, and died at her home in Vermillion, Kansas on April 24, 1929 at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 28 days She was third of a family of five children, two sisters having preceded her in death. Read More	Frankfort, Kansas, Index Monday, May 6, 1929 Rose Bailey daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Allen Lewis Bailey was born at Akron, Indiana on October 26, 1869, and died at her home in Vermillion, Kansas on April 24, 1929 at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 28 days She was third of a family of five children, two sisters having preceded her in death. On January 2, 1888 she was married to Dr. John Clifton at Akron, Indiana, and to this union was born four children, two sons, and two daughters, a son Archie preceded her in death. She has been a member of the Methodist Church since early in girlhood. In 1899 they moved to Vermillion, Kansas where she has spent the remainder of her life. She soon became involved in musical events of the community. She was a charter member of Cordelia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron and of the Mutual Improvement club. Besides her husband, John; she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Brayman Topeka, Kansas and Mrs. Jessie L. Johnson, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania;a sister, Mrs.Emma Pontius, Topeka, Kansas; a brother,William T. Bailey, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon with the Reverend H.W. Glaze officiating assisted by Reverend L.V. Brown. Interment was in the Vermillion Cemetery, Vermillion, Kansas with the members of the Eastern Star providing a large escort to graveside.
