Description	:	Miss Rose Kick, a twenty two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kick, of Marcy, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Brewer, lately deceased, near Odebolt, yesterday. A telegram informing the parents early in the day that she was sick was followed by another later stating that she was dead. The parents have no particulars. She was aged when she died, twenty three years, two months and thirteen days. The deceased was a native of this county, her parents living a few miles south of Ogden and are highly esteemed by their friends and acquaintances and assuredly have the heartfelt sympathies of all. She left the parental home for Odebolt, about three weeks ago, to take care of, and bring back home with her, the infant babe that was half orphaned by the death of a sister which occurred about that time. She was only sick about forty four hours, her disease being inflammation of the stomach and bowels. The cause of her young and happy life being so suddenly extinguished was violent hemorrhages of the parts affected by the disease. All was so sudden that her parents did not receive the information of her sickness until they received that of her death, and the next day her mortal remains were received from the railroad company for interment. She suffered greatly while it lasted, but she endured it all with a calm resignation and from the first attack had a presentiment that she would certainly die, but that gave her no uneasiness. She told her friends that she was willing and ready to die, so we many hope that our loss is her gain. There was a large and deeply affected audience at the funeral and that followed her mortal remains to their last resting place. The Ogden Reporter 1888
