Description	:	Rose M. Hagemeier, 83, of Beatrice died at her home on Thursday morning, September 24, 2015. She was born June 3, 1932 at Friend. After graduating from Friend High School in 1949, she worked at Russell Stover Candies in Lincoln. On August 21, 1952, she married Glen Hagemeier at Friend United Methodist Church. They lived and farmed north of Beatrice until moving to Beatrice in 2014. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice and was a volunteer at the Food Pantry. Hagemeier, 83, of Beatrice died at her home on Thursday morning, September 24, 2015. She was born June 3, 1932 at Friend. After graduating from Friend High School in 1949, she worked at Russell Stover Candies in Lincoln. On August 21, 1952, she married Glen Hagemeier at Friend United Methodist Church. They lived and farmed north of Beatrice until moving to Beatrice in 2014. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice and was a volunteer at the Food Pantry. She also volunteered at the Nebraska Department of Social Services, enjoyed photography, traveling, her wild flower garden and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rose was a dedicated farm wife and gave unconditional love to her family. She met the challenges in her life with courage, hope, faith and grace and brought smiles to those around her with her good humor and quick wit. Survivors include her husband, Glen of Beatrice; three daughters, Carol Poutre and husband Tim of DeWitt, Ruth Green of Gainesville, MO and Ellen Hanisch and husband Ed of Gig Harbor, WA; one son, David Hagemeier of Arden Hills, MN; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Brozovsky of Crete; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Rose Laun Zajic; one son Dennis, who died January 19, 2013; one brother, Melvin Zajic. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Greg Gabriel officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with Larry and Judy Hagemeier in charge. The body will lie in state from noon Friday until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home and then one hour preceding the service at the church. The family will meet and greet friends and relatives on Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
