Mrs. Patterson died Friday at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 20 days. The daughter of John and Leona Pearl Johnson White, she was born Feb. 2,1906, at Edson, Kan. She attended high school at Lebanon. Sept. 24, 1924, she was united in marriage to Ira Thayer. Mrs. Patterson died Friday at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 20 days. The daughter of John and Leona Pearl Johnson White, she was born Feb. 2,1906, at Edson, Kan. She attended high school at Lebanon. Sept. 24, 1924, she was united in marriage to Ira Thayer. This union was blessed with the birth of nine children. He died April 28, 1949. March 2, 1953, she was married to Orval Patterson. Mrs. Patterson lived in and around Superior for the past 54 years. She worked in her home as an accomplished seamstress. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira; brother, Frosty White; two sons, Jerry in 1983 and Wayne in 1984; and three grandsons. Survivors are her husband, Orval: four daughters, Wanda Adam's of Sueprior, Nila Barfknecht of Nelson, Elaine Briggs of Plainwell, Mich,, and Muriel Ray of Alliance, Ohio; three sons, Max Thayer of Republic, Darrell Thayer of Superior, and Verle Thayer of Alliance, Ohio; step-children, Evelyn Blair of Mankato, Betty Frerichs of Vacaville, Calif., and Roy Patterson of Cambridge, Neb;; 21 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. The Rev. Morris Coggin and the Rev. Kenneth Fairbrother officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. Superior Express April 28, 1988.
